We have had a very busy but enjoyable week especially with 2 of our favourite suppliers...... (2nd post to follow)

Candice Wilson of Love Candy Cakes has now launched her Wedding Boutique and when you open the door you are greeted with the great smell of cakes cooking and then met with a vision of lovelyness as a small selection of her designs are on display. We had a great day on Saturday 16 April 2011 meeting and greeting her visitors and new clients.

We met some lovely Brides and Grooms at Sitwell Arms on Sunday and linked up with other suppliers, Great being next to Mandi and Rob from Formal and Fabulous who doing us some great deals for Wedding packages and our Cinderella Ball. Visit her shop all you Brides you will get some amazing dresses and she will definatley look after you, you can even design your own dress.

A big well done to Lesley and the crew at Sitwell for a well organised very busy day..

Wedding Fayre Season has started......

At the Winding Wheel Wedding Fayre organised by A.S. Party we had a steady flow of brides all day all at various stages in their Wedding planning.

Busy Weekend for us all and our friends at Formal & Fabulous and Love Candy Cakes who have also had a full weekend of Fayres so between us we have seen lots of Brides.

Dawn had a new theme with our stand today as she wanted us to stand out!!! not that we are wallflowers!!! far from it for all of those who know us.

Hope everyone liked the new design.....

Calling all Brides who want help and practical planning for one of the biggest days in your life......

Here at Derbyshire Wedding Planners, we believe that planning a wedding, should be a pleasure not a chore. A modern busy bride wants more from her Sunday morning than a room full of suppliers and that's where we can help.

We have great pleasure in inviting all you brides to attend the practical 'Bridal Planning Conference' at the brand new 4* Casa Hotel in Chesterfield. We have teamed up with Hannah of Little Fish Events and some of the region's preferred suppliers to help you organise your big day. Not everyone want's a wedding planner but we feel that many brides just want pointing in the right direction in what can be a minefield of information.

We aim to offer you practical advice, useful hints and support across a range of wedding issues, enabling you to set off full of inspiration, but with a plan to guide you through your wedding.

Included in the day will be:

• Experienced speakers to advise you on the 'Do's and Don'ts of planning for your big day and getting you through the process both physically and emotionally


• Information in smaller sessions on how to source suppliers, choosing the venue and managing your budget and suppliers effectively
  
• A catwalk show of fabulous gowns to give you ideas for your big day


• A market place of hand selected wedding suppliers exhibiting and they will answer any questions you might have and make appointments and bookings etc.
  
• Goody bag to take away with you including your own planning tools on a CD
  

So why not come along and perhaps bring with you your mother, sister, mother in law, bridesmaid in fact anyone who is helping you plan your big day and get a reduction for 2 places.

Tickets are £30 for one place and £55 for two. If you want to make a weekend of it overnight accommodation in one of the deluxe rooms (including breakfast) is available at a reduced rate.

Hodsock Priory Wedding Fayre - Sunday 3 October 2010 - 12-5pm

Black Tie Masquerade Ball

Wow.... our Ball in November in a themed Marquee at Grassmoor Golf Centre has sold out in a week and we have had to halt all promotion due to the amazing sell out!!!

One of our sponsors Lynsey at Bimbo Design is coming up with some amazing artwork for the event which we wait in anticipation to see. A massive thank you to Lynsey and our other sponsors helping us raise funds in aid of Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline.

Our entertainment on the night will include the fabulous Donna Ramsdale who has extensive repertoire and guarantees to have everyone dancing. Check out Donna's website to see her in action. Alongside Donna will be Michael Moore who has been a regular in the Manchester Club scene and has entertained Sir Alex Ferguson and guests at their Christmas Party two years running. Michael has an extensive repertoire ranging from Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, Michael Buble, Take That, Robbie Williams, Spandau Ballet, ABC and many more. I am sure Donna and Michael will be keeping all the guests entertained until the early hours of the morning..

We have met with Candy at Love Candy Cakes

Her creative flair and fantastic attention to detail is truly inspirational and definately adds the wow factor to any celebration or wedding cake.

Candy has kindly agreed to be a sponsor at our Masquerade Ball on the 6 November 2010 at Grassmoor Golf Centre in the themed marquee with live entertainment, cocktail bar, drinks and canapes on arrival and 4 course meal.

We know Candy will give us a show stopping cake to take your breath away on arrival.

Sarah & Rogers Wedding - 24.7.10

The wedding day of Sarah and Roger finally arrived with blue sky and sun always a bonus....

Sarah arrived in style in a Tuk Tuk.....

Sarah has been a very hands on bride and as she puts it ' has still felt in control'.

The wedding cake was created by Sarah's sister and Sarah made the cookie favours for the guests, that we all sat down and packaged a few nights earlier. All the flower arrangements and the bride and bridesmaid flowers where created by Jackie who works inconjunction with Derbyshire Wedding Planners.

The reception at Ashover Parish Hall was decorated to Sarah and Rogers specification and it was no coincidence that the indian feast that the guests tucked into with gusto, was provided by the very restuarant Maazi's Indian Restaurant of Matlock where Sarah and Roger had their first date.
