2012 here we come........

Reflecting on 2011 which has been a fabulous year for Derbyshire Event & Wedding Planners.

We have also organised very successful Tribute events at the 4* Casa Hotel which have included Michael Buble and Take That nights both sell out events. We had great fun at the 2 Casino events we organised at Grassmoor Golf Club and Rufford Park Golf and Country Club. However, one of the highlights was our Charity Cinderella Ball at Bolsover Castle which was a showstopper, amazing setting with fabulous food and entertainment with some superb support of other suppliers.

2012 starts with January meetings with some of our Bride and Grooms already booked in with us, our Cabaret Event on 4 February, we have secured the singers from Bjorn Again for our Abba Tribute on 5 May and we have our Charity Ball on 29 September at Casa Hotel this will be very glitzy and our charity for 2012 is for the Helpline for Hereditary Breast Cancer again.

Summer Weddings & Events

Since our launch in the summer of 2010 it seems to have been non stop and this summer in particular has been so enjoyable with 4 weddings, 1 bridal conference, 1 Ladies night, 2 casino nights and a huge Cinderella Ball to round off the summer.

There has been a huge amount of hard work, long days, laughter and tears. It has been immensly enjoyable working with some new suppliers and terrific venues and the couples we have worked with have been amazing up to and on their big day. Some special moments for us:

• Photographs on Curbar Edge with Gemma & Tom such fantastic shots with Ross Walker of LP Photography who definately went that extra mile to achieve some amazing results for this fab couple



• Working with George from Hodsock Priory and Dominique from Complete Catering Service who made the 12 hour day a breeze
  


• The sunset for Liz and Rich to finish their perfect day - a very special couple who we will miss they were a pleasure to work with



• Hayley and Marc who made our job easy! - Hayley could have a job with us anyday..... and we loved their vision of what they wanted and glad we helped out with achieving this
  



• Jess & Steve at Ringwood we were all praying for the weather to hold off so the ceremony could go ahead outside and it did thank goodness...



• Our Cinderella Ball at Bolsover Castle was amazing and the venue and evening was truly magical and so much like a fairytale - loved every minute of this event especially our fantastic suppliers and Kerry from Taste Cuisine and her staff made this event stand out for us

Cinderella Ball

Our guests arrived to a drinks reception and canapes provided by Taste Cuisine and the sound of the string quartet - A touch of Class.

Having exclusive use of the castle meant that guests had the opportunity to have photograps in the grounds, alongside the vintage car and explore the little castle.

On display was the spectacular Cinderella Cake designed by Candy of Love Candy Cakes and the silent auction by Celebre Art.

Entertainment was led by the HMS Royal Marine big band Singer Brian Lloyd who has been entertaining the troups in Afganistan until 2 days ago. We also had the DJ from Tenacious DJing.

In true Cinderella style at midnight guests descended onto the Dukes Drive and off into the night.

A heart felt thank you to all our suppliers for supporting this event.
