Nancy & James Wedding 28.4.12

The day started with no rain after a shocking week of bad weather and we had fingers crossed that the sun might come out for this fabulous couple on their big day.

Nancy and James had made sure everything that had been thought of to create a special day for everyone who was at the ceremony at Bolsover Castle followed by their reception at Fox & Goose, Old Brampton.

Having Simon Revill as their Photographer we knew straight away come rain or shine they would have some stunning pictures and he did not disappoint providing some amazing shots at the Castle and at the Reception.

By mid afternoon there was a gale blowing it was overcast and a sky full of rain, this did not dampen the spirits of all the guests who tucked into cocktail flavoured sorbet from the ice cream cart, had great fun with the DIY photobooth and then enjoyed the delights of the Candy Buffet after the meal before they partied the night away to the sounds of AS Party DJ.

We have 3 very busy weeks upon us now - venue visit tomorrow with Serena & Richard one of our 2013 couples then a girly night doing the favours and finalising details with Nancy & James in readiness for their wedding this weekend at Bolsover Castle ..... Praying for sunshine for this wonderful couple...

Next week we have a visit to one of the venues we will be working with and a consultation meeting with a couple who are getting married in 2013.

Onto our Abba Tribute event at Casa Hotel on 5th May this really is going to be a fabulous event...... Then straight into our preparations for Lizzie and John who are holding their vintage themed wedding at Cressbrook Hall in Buxton, such a stunning location. All the preparation with this couple we can't wait to see all the decorations and final visual over the 2 day event....Should be awesome....

We have a few busy weekends with our couples who are tying the knot in April and May.

These are both very different weddings and both getting married at fabulous venues Bolsover Castle and Cressbrook Hall where we will be working alongside some of our favourite suppliers:- Simon Revill, Emma Buck, AS Party and Tenacious DJ.

We are so looking forward to our Spring Weddings and the first 2 in the coming weeks, Garry and Sharon getting married at Sitwell Arms, Renishaw and using some of our favourite suppliers. Candy of Love Candy Cakes and Kerry of Tineke Floral Designs.

In April we have Nancy and James getting married at Bolsover Castle and then their reception at the Fox and Goose, Brampton and we are pleased to be working alongside the fantastic Simon Revill who produces some amazing shots come rain or shine.

2 fantastic weddings both very different but both very special.

Derbyshire Life feature the Cinderella Ball

Derbyshire Life have done a full page feature of our Cinderella Ball held at Bolsover Castle in aid of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity our chosen charity this year.

We are so pleased, this was a fantastic event and supported by a lot of suppliers and party goers.

Cinderella Ball

Our guests arrived to a drinks reception and canapes provided by Taste Cuisine and the sound of the string quartet - A touch of Class.

Having exclusive use of the castle meant that guests had the opportunity to have photograps in the grounds, alongside the vintage car and explore the little castle.

On display was the spectacular Cinderella Cake designed by Candy of Love Candy Cakes and the silent auction by Celebre Art.

Entertainment was led by the HMS Royal Marine big band Singer Brian Lloyd who has been entertaining the troups in Afganistan until 2 days ago. We also had the DJ from Tenacious DJing.

In true Cinderella style at midnight guests descended onto the Dukes Drive and off into the night.

A heart felt thank you to all our suppliers for supporting this event.

Cinderella Ball

Our Cinderella Ball at Bolsover Castle is drawing nearer now and we are so excited. Met up with Hannah from Little Fish Events who is doing our table plan, menus, table numbers etc in her own unique style. All we know is that it will be very glass slipper style. Pop over and visit Hannah's work on her website and facebook page, her stationery definately stands out.....
