Garry & Sharon 9.3.12 Wedding

What a fabulous day for Garry & Sharon on Friday 9 March at Sitwell Arms, Renishaw. Although we have done a few wedding fayres at this venue, this was the first wedding for us.

I have to say the staff were extremely helpful and paid attention to detail to ensure that everything went smoothly. Lesley the Co-ordinator there is very professional, approachable and meticulous with the running of the day. Needless to say everything ran like clockwork. Even the sun came out for photographs.

We had some great suppliers working alongside us for the day:


*Candy from Love Candy Cakes created a masterpiece with Garry and Sharon figures sat on the top of the cake

*Kerry from Tineke Floral Designs supplied the most amazing flowers

*Cally from Chocally provided some beautifully boxed handmade chocolates for the favours a Macadamia & Cranberry crunch truffle and a Cherry Brandy truffle - amazing

* Hair by Adele - who looked after Sharon and the Bridesmaids hair creations

A very relaxed day with everything going to plan, a wonderful couple and a definate example of a great day.....

We are so looking forward to our Spring Weddings and the first 2 in the coming weeks, Garry and Sharon getting married at Sitwell Arms, Renishaw and using some of our favourite suppliers. Candy of Love Candy Cakes and Kerry of Tineke Floral Designs.

In April we have Nancy and James getting married at Bolsover Castle and then their reception at the Fox and Goose, Brampton and we are pleased to be working alongside the fantastic Simon Revill who produces some amazing shots come rain or shine.

2 fantastic weddings both very different but both very special.

Charity Cheque presentation

Derbyshire Event & Wedding Planners celebrated raising £1,700 for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity at the Cabaret Event held at Casa in February.

Helen Gentle Fundraiser for Weston Park said:

'Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity is so very grateful to have had the opportunity to benefit from the fabulous events organised by Derbyshire Wedding Planners. The Cinderella Ball set in the stunning setting of Bolsover Castle was a particularly highlight, every tiny detail had been carefully planned and crafted to create a truly magical evening- what a fantastic night!
